Spotlight on the Scottish Learning Festival
The 2010 Scottish Learning Festival drew to a close yesterday with the focus firmly on education for the future. This was clear both in the hall of Scotland’s largest education exhibition with it’s memorable demonstrations of cutting edge technology for learning and in the lively presentations from the comprehensive conference programme.

Education Secretary Michael Russell attended the conference and said:
“I am delighted to see so many teachers, front-line practitioners and education specialists today, all with a huge enthusiasm for Scottish education. And I am delighted and honoured to be here.
My duty is to make education better. This won’t be done by tinkering or by interference – will be done by supporting and enhancing the work of teachers, and the enthusiasm of parents and pupils.”
