Our Experiences Of China
Hello, this is Louise here. My experience in China was a truly unforgettable one. It was so interesting and exciting. The people there were really friendly and helpful. It was really a completely new experience for me.
Everything was so different and China itself was nothing I would have ever imagined. Everything from the fancy food to the amazing temples and palaces was incredible. Also the weather was very different and even though it never rained, we constantly had our umbrellas with us to shade us from the almost unbearable sun. All and all it was a great trip and I would love to go again.
Hi, my name is Jenna. I went to Beijing just over a year ago. My experience there was absolutely amazing. We saw so many amazing sights, from the Great Wall to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. We tried so many amazing and different foods also, both on BFSU campus and in restaurants around the city.
It rained for a few days when we were there, and it was extremely heavy, especially compared to Scotland. I was amazed by this as it had been sunny for the most of the time, but when it rained it was pouring. The people and culture was amazing, and so much more friendly and lovely than people over here. I would love to go again, it was one of the best experiences of my life so far.
Together, we have been learning Chinese Mandarin for around 5 years. Our teacher is called Mr Cen, he has been teaching at our school for 2 years, in our school’s Confucius classroom. Jenna got an A in her Intermediate 1 exam, and Louise is expected to gain an A or a B at the end of this school year. We have both had fun learning Chinese, as it’s different and fun…
Trying to remember the characters with Mr Cen is one of the most fun parts as he relates them to things, and lets us relate them to others. It can be very difficult at times but we have learned to accept that it is a challenging language for us to study.
