Rural Education Commission opens call for evidence
The Commission on Rural Education is an independent commission, established in July 2011, tasked with examining how the delivery of education in rural areas can maximise the attainment, achievement and life chances of the young people living in those areas of Scotland.
They are now inviting individuals and organisations from across Scotland to provide their views and influence the Commission’s work.
Announcing the call for evidence, Commission Chair, Sheriff David Sutherland said, “This Commission has the potential to make real improvements to life chances of children and young people across rural Scotland. I would encourage anyone with a view on any aspect of the delivery of rural education to take this opportunity to have their voice heard. The responses to this Call for Evidence will be essential to the Commission’s considerations and final recommendations.”
Anyone wishing to participate can find out more about the Commission and submit evidence via the link below.
