I recently announced a change to our approach to ICT in Education and that this would be framed around five key objectives. I followed this by posting five blogs on Engage for Education explaining some of the thinking around each objective. Your constructive comments have been most welcome.

We have also been holding a rich conversation on the future of ICT in Scottish Schools. This has been taking place on the #EduScotICT Wiki and other social media channels.

As always, I am keen to get more children and young people involved in the debate. I was therefore delighted that pupils at Wellwood Primary School in Fife have produced their own YouTube Video on how they would like Glow to develop and the ICT tools that they require to be successful.

Well done to Olivia Wexelstein (class teacher) and her very talented class in taking the initiative to produce this video. I hope other schools and rise to the challenge and have their voice heard.

We are in the middle of an on-line debate about the future of technologies for learning in our schools. This has already included some significant announcements regarding a change of direction to Glow and we will be continuing to develop our thinking building up to the Scottish Government ICT Summit on the 17th October.
