How’s about giving an honest comment, Mr Russell, on East Renfrewshire’s brave decision to admit that SQA preparations for National exams are like the Emperor’s new clothes? Because when you told the BBC that “I am aware of the currently unique circumstances of East Renfrewshire where pupils take Intermediate not Standard qualifications.” that wasn’t a particulalrly helpful statement was it? Significant numbers of pupils across Scotland take Intermediate qualifications so did you A) not understand the impact of East Renfrewshire’s decision or B) try some ’smoke and mirrors’?
