Welcome to Engage for Education: a new, direct conversation between the Scottish Government and parents, young people, teachers and school staff. We hope that you find the site easy to use. However, this is the place to come if you need a little more information.

  • The menu bars on the left can provide help on how to use this site and how to take part in conversations and workshops. 
  • Unless you have registered with Engage for Education you won’t be able to leave a comment in the blogs section or post an idea to the workshops. You can register here - it’s quick and easy and all you need is a viable email address.
  • This is a fully moderated site so please be patient as comments and ideas may take a little time to be published. Please do familiarise yourself with our Code of Conduct, Terms and Conditions and Moderation rules.

Having trouble commenting, registering or logging in?

  • You may find that the confirmation and verification email required to complete registration has been sent to your spam folder.
  • At first log in you are taken to a profile screen, where you can choose to change your details, email password and username. To bypass this screen and enter the site simply navigate to home page by clicking the Engage for Education bubble or click on any of the menu bars.
  • Once logged in you can comment at the blogs and workshops however publication may delayed due to the moderation process.

Futher information and help:

  • Some of our workshops take place on Glow – the world’s first national intranet for education. However, if you don’t have access to Glow there is always an option to post your ideas and opinions directly on the workshop page.
  • Glow users may find that it helps to log into Glow first before using some of the links on our site.
  • The Engage for Education newsletter provides highlights of what’s been happening and previews of what’s coming up. You can sign up for the newsletter here or when you register.
  • We hope you enjoy being a part of the Engage for Education community. If you would like to contact us for any reason please do so here.
  • We may extend or shorten the duration of any workshop. Archived workshops can be accessed on the workshops and ideas page.
