The Scottish Government asked Graham Donaldson, former HM Senior Chief Inspector of Education, to undertake a wide-ranging review of teacher education in Scotland.
The Review’s remit was to consider the best arrangements for the full continuum of teacher education in Scotland, including initial teacher education, induction and professional development and the interaction between them.
The Engage for Education Teachers for Tomorrow Workshop was launched in association with the review to allow a broad discussion and feedback by gathering your views on what makes a great teacher, what qualities we need our teachers to possess now and how these may change in coming years.
The workshop has now closed and all comments and ideas reported back to the review team.
The review has now been published, Graham Donaldson has written an exclusive blog for Engage for Education explaining how your input has helped to develop the recommendations in the review.
